Vanessa Bryant, the wife of Los Angeles Laker and sure fire Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant, officially filed for divorce from the five time NBA Champion. The reasoning she listed was “irreconcilable differences.”
8 years ago Vanessa Bryant chose to remain with her husband after it was reported that he had an affair in Colorado and allegedly raped a woman. The rape case was dismissed, but Kobe did admit to adultery. While many saw Vanessa’s decision as admirable in that she was giving her husband a second chance, others saw it as the foundation for future problems and a bad move on her part.
The couple got married ten and a half years ago and have a pair of daughters. Their children are 8 and 5 years old.
Bryant is one of the highest paid players in the NBA and makes millions more off of the court via endorsements and sponsorships.
It is currently unclear how the custody of their daughters will be decided and what the exact decisions are in terms of the divorce settlement.
