Obama Speaks in Cleveland, Ends Campaign Trail for Midterm Elections

San Francisco (Obama.net)- With less than two days until the long awaited 2010 Midterm Elections on November 2^nd, President Barack Obama came to Cleveland, Ohio to make his very last push for Democrats throughout America to come out and vote on Tuesday.

There is much speculation that at the end of Tuesday, the Republicans could overtake the majority in the House of Representatives. Despite the lack of new ideas by Republicans and the success of the policies put into place by Obama and his colleagues, public opinion seems to be favoring a switch to Republican leadership. This can be attributed with an unreasonable impatience with allowing Obama’s reforms to fully take effect by Republicans and swing voters.

But President Obama is determined to continue to sell his reforms, which have lifted the United States from a deep economic crisis and are rebuilding the economy as fast as possible as time progresses.

Obama told his audience at Cleveland State University “there is no doubt that this is a difficult election.”

Obama called on Democrats to come out and vote. He told Democrats throughout the nation to get their friends, families, neighbors, and coworkers to vote.

Vice President Joe Biden told the crowd at the Ohio university to “get up and vote.”

The audience responded positively, chanting the same “Yes we can” phrase that was heard loud and consistently two years ago when Obama and the Democrats took office.

The common message Obama has been delivering for months has been that the election will decide whether the United States will be run by Democrats, who are determined to progress the nation and rebuild the economy, or Republicans who are offering nothing more than the same old policies that lead to the economic crash just over two years ago. Republicans have not offered new ideas on lowering the unemployment rate or for creating new jobs. They have only campaigned to slander Democrats and win seats in Congress.

Obama made it clear that his goal is not to get as many Democrats in office as possible, but to make sure that the policies that need to be passed in order to make sure the future of the United States is a good one do in fact get passed.

On Tuesday, 37 Senate seats will be up for grabs along with another 37 governor positions and each and every one of the 435 seats in the House of Representatives.
