Obama Turns Down Rumors On Afghanistan, Blasts WikiLeaks

San Francisco (Obama.net)- The President of the United States of America Barack Obama is expressing some of his unfavorable opinions on a website claiming to have secret information about American government policies that are kept from the masses. While Obama has no agenda against the website, he wants to make the facts about the situation completely clear to the men and women of the United States.

Tuesday, Obama clearly stated that he is highly “concerned about the disclosure of sensitive information” having to do with the goals and policies of the United States in Afghanistan by WikiLeaks.

WikiLeaks is a website claiming to have secret information, but according to Obama as well as anyone who has taken a look at the claims, there is very little new information being represented on the site. The questionable website has posted approximately 76,000 American military, as well as diplomatic reports, having to do with Afghanistan between the year 2004 and the first month of the year 2010.

Obama refuted the importance of these reports by saying, “While I’m concerned about the disclosure of sensitive information from the battlefield that could potentially jeopardize individuals or operations, the fact is these documents don’t reveal any issues that haven’t already informed our public debate on Afghanistan. Indeed, they point to the same challenges that led me to conduct an extensive review of our policy last fall.”

President Obama is clear on one thing, the United States of America does not keep its citizens in the dark on important issues. In addition, the alleged secret information being leaked by site such as WikiLeaks is information that has already been made public to the men and women of the United States to read about at their discretion.

While President Obama is not looking to have the website shut down or investigated, he is doing his best to make sure that the citizens of the United States of America do not assume that their government is keeping vital information from them and that a small website is somehow uncovering important information pertaining to the American occupancy of Afghanistan.
