Tony Romo Announces Engagement to Candice Crawford

Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Tony Romo, 30, recently announced his engagement to girlfriend Candice Crawford.  Crawford is a 24 year old sports reporter for KDAF-TV in Dallas and also the sister of TV actor Chace Crawford, who is known for his role on Gossip Girl.  Romo popped the question while out to dinner with Crawford’s family who were celebrating her 24^th birthday.

The gossip magazines are all reporting on the 4-carat center diamond engagement ring Romo bought for his wife to be so an image is included in the photo above. The price tag on such a ring runs at $80,000.

Outside of his football career Romo is most well known for dating Jessica Simpson and then famously dumping her on her 29^th birthday.  Simpson has since rebounded and recently announced her engagement to former NFL star Eric Johnson.

Romo has been sidelined with a fractured clavicle since October 25^th and apparently has had a lot of time to contemplate his future and how that would involve Candice Crawford.  The couple has not made any announcements on when they will officially tie the knot, but Crawford may have to find a new career as it could be a conflict of interest if she continues to work as a Dallas area sports reporting.  Seeing as how Crawford is a former Miss Missouri winner, I do not think the stunning blonde will have any problems finding another job.
