Now that in the reality television world they have become an afterthought, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are able to look back and realize the error in their ways.
The infamous couple is now out of money and essentially lost in life. In addition, Montag is now extremely regretful about having so much plastic surgery. In fact, Montag said, “I wish I didn’t do it. I would go back and not have any surgery,” and “I got too caught up in Hollywood, being so into myself and my image.”
In their efforts to force Montag into a pop career and into dressing like everyone else in Hollywood, the couple ran through their money fast. Pratt said he likely spent a million dollars easy on his clothes alone. He said the clothes were just props to fit in with the Hollywood crowd.
Pratt made it clear, “everything we were doing, in retrospect, was a mistake.” Pratt then went on to say that he now sees that reality television is not a real career, but a “lie.”
Pratt said that his breaking point was when the producers of The Hills asked him to actually punch his own real life sister on the show in order to increase interest in the show.
Now, Pratt and Montag live in a beach home owned by Pratt’s parents. There they pay no rent and are essentially living for free as they try to figure out how to regain independence and reenter the real world.
