Obama Says Swine Flu May Return

On Thursday, July 9th, 2009 in Health Care, News by Mark Ryabtsev.

President Barack Obama and his administration have told the citizens of the United States that come Fall, the Swine Flu, also known as H1N1 Virus, may pugnaciously return in a few months.

Obama has announced that in October, vaccinations will begin to be provided. It has also been exclaimed by the Obama Administration that financial aid will be provided to the hospitals and states to support the cost for the vaccinations.

The H1N1 Influenza Preparedness Summit received the phone call from Obama as he was in Italy. Obama told the attendees of the meeting, which was located in the National Institutes of Health that the goal for them was to avoid the possible disaster.

The people who were present at the meeting consisted of many states governors, health officials, and school officials.

In August, the vaccinations will be tested to see if they are efficient and safe.

However, in October when the vaccines will be ready for the citizens of America, there will not be enough for everyone. The amount of available vaccines is estimated to be in the tens of millions. First in line to get the vaccinations are children, health care workers, people who has other illnesses than make them more susceptible to the flu, and women that are pregnant.

The leader for the Center of Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Thomas Frieden said that the flu is not only not over, but there have been outbreaks in Chile, Argentina, and Australia, as well as over 50 summer camps.

The previous outbreak in America resulted in 726 schools being closed in May.

A total of 8.5 billion dollars have been approved by the United States government for vaccination ingredients, testing, and distributing.

With the actions taken by President Obama and the government of the United States, we have hopefully already seen the worst of the treacherous Swine Flu Virus.
