This week, Chris Brown went to Twitter and proved once again why he should not have a Twitter. Brown, who runs his own Twitter account, took a comment by WWE Champion CM Punk too personally and ended up being put in his place by the Straight Edge Superstar.
Punk criticized Brown for his attack on Rihanna in 2009. Likely, this took place because of Brown’s display of arrogance and lack of humility after the Grammy Awards.
Brown lashed at Punk by accusing him of steroid use. This is more evidence of Brown’s quickness to feud with anyone as his suggestion shows that he has not seen Punk very much, if at all. Punk, who is known to be an advocate against drug use and is living a straight edge lifestyle, is a leaner athlete whose physique shows no signs of steroid use.
Punk posted a video on his Twitter page last night to clarify his statements. Punk said, “I don’t think Chris has paid for what he has done. Picking up trash on the side of a highway does not make amends for repeatedly striking a woman to her face and sending her to a hospital.” Punk went on to say that one day someone will put Brown in his place, “and it honestly doesn’t have to be me, I would just really like it to be.”
Brown, never one to be humble, made cheap shots in return and again refused to address the criticisms at hand or even to be mature and simply ignore a criticism. Brown continues to prove the critics wrong by showing that two years later, he has not grown up and in fact has become more immature.
