Madonna Praises Lady Gaga, Speaks Highly of Pop Star

Madonna spoke with ABC News recently and during the interview, she spoke about Lady Gaga, who many say is very similar to Madonna. Madonna even compared her beginnings in the entertainment world to that of Lady Gaga’s.
Madonna talked about how the first time that she saw Lady Gaga it was around three years ago in a tiny club in Manhattan, New York. Madonna said, “I was actually really impressed by her. I thought she was really cool and she did remind me of me back in the day.”
Madonna then likened her sense of humor and style of speaking to the audience to that of Lady Gaga. Madonna called Lady Gaga “fresh” and “ballsy” and said that she “liked her rawness.” Overall Madonna called Lady Gaga “very talented.”
When asked specifically about Lady Gaga’s work, Madonna did say that she sees a lot of herself in it. Madonna said, “I certainly think she references me a lot in her work. And sometimes I think it’s amusing and flattering and well done.”
The praises should come as very big to Lady Gaga as Madonna was one of her idols. To hear the words that Madonna spoke do give Lady Gaga much more respect in the industry on top of all the respect that she has already earned through her hard work and success.
