If we have said it once, we have said it a thousand times, Santorum needs to realize what is going on and drop out of the Republican Primary race. It appears Santorum has come to the realization.
Over the weekend, Santorum thought long and hard about his race with Romney. Santorum realized that Romney is simply too far ahead and is projected to win too many of the upcoming states. Also factoring into Santorum’s decision is that his young daughter has recently been hospitalized. Santorum decided that right now it is more important that he is around for his daughter than fight any longer in a race that he has little chance of winning.
Now the only other players left in the race, other than Romney, are Gingrich and Paul. Romney is so far ahead and is more than likely going to have a very easy time defeating the two men. After saying for weeks that it was time for Santorum to drop out, now it must be said that Gingrich and Paul are wasting their time and resources by not dropping out.
Romney is going to easily take the Republican nomination. In turn, this upcoming November, Mitt Romney will battle it out with Democratic President Barack Obama to decide who will be the President of the United States next year.
