San Francisco (Obama.net)- Friday, Oprah Winfrey told the world all about her favorite things for the 2010 holiday season. She provided numerous gift ideas ranging from affordable and practical to elegant and expensive. Her ideas were perfect for uses everywhere from the kitchen to the outdoors to simply hanging out.
But not everyone looked at Oprah’s list, unveiled during the 25th Anniversary season of her famous television program, and saw something that they fell in love with and knew immediately they were going to get for someone special in their lives.
Luckily, Monday, Oprah gave the world the second half of her list.
Much like the first half (you can find the full list of part one here), part two contains a variety of products. The list contains foods, music, clothing, jewelry, and even a car.
One popular gift that Oprah suggested was the Apple iPad. Already a popular item among the tech-savvy, the iPad is available for both AT&T and Verizon subscribers. While the price may be a little high for some, few people are ever heard complaining about the iPad. Oprah further suggested getting the Scrabble app, a personal favorite of hers that she likes to use as she works out on her treadmill.
In terms of music, Oprah adds to her suggestion of the latest Black Eyed Peas album with Illuminations by Josh Groban and Let It Be Me by Johnny Mathis.
For those looking to put out some of the best food this holiday season, the second part of the 2010 list includes Garrett Popcorn, which comes in a special edition Oprah tin that says “Oprah’s Favorite Things.” The list also includes Centerville Pie Company’s Chicken Pie and Williams-Sonoma Mini Croissants. Oprah said that with the Chicken Pie, “you will always have something delicious for dinner.” And of the croissants, Oprah said, “I’ve never had a croissant that tasted better other than is Paris itself.”
In terms of clothing, Oprah offers gift cards for the Lingerie Department at Nordstrom’s. She also suggests Classic Sparkle Ugg Boots, a Magaschoni Embellished Tunic and Leggings, and Miraclebody Jeans by Miraclesuit.
While not the most expensive item, the most extravagant item on the 2010 list is surely the Dana Rebecca Jessica Leigh Diamond Earrings, which are valued at just under $2,000. Buyers have the option of getting 14kt white gold, rose gold, or yellow gold. And each pair has over 100 1.17 carats worth of diamonds.
While the smallest gift idea, these earrings pack the best value with over 100 diamonds.
Speaking of the most expensive item on the list, Oprah suggests the 2012 model of the Volkswagen Beetle. The vehicle is so new, the public has no idea what it even looks like. But members of her studio audience will soon know as Oprah told them that each would get one.
The list also includes, a tea set, moisturizer, a cookware set, and a book by Mark Nepo.
After the last and biggest list of her favorite things, Oprah has left her fans with the ultimate holiday shopping list. Now, the struggle is no longer on figuring out what to get a loved one, but to try to resist the urge from overspending on the numerous fantastic items on the 2010 list of Oprah’s Favorite Things.
