San Francisco (Obama.net)- Wednesday, President Barack Obama held a secret meeting at the White House. The leader of the United States of America held the unannounced meeting at 11:15 am. Some would expect this to be a major meeting between President Obama and another high world leader, such as Russian President Dmitri Medvedev, maybe Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, or possible the leader of North Korea Kim Jong Il. However, none of these people even come close to the man who did meet with President Obama today.
President Obama met with Warren Buffett, one of the richest men in the world. The multi billionaire met with President Obama to discuss numerous topics such as the current economic crisis and the plans for the reform of energy.
Some suspect that the meeting with Buffett had to do with Obama’s goal of creating more privatized jobs and that could lead to Obama meeting with other people like Warren Buffett.
Men and women like Buffett can provide President Obama and his administration with information about American and international business that the government does not yet know. The reason for this is that those men and women are the ones who live in the business world on a daily basis and thus know what needs to be done to fix the problems in the economy.
Buffett has been critical of the way the United States government has handled the economic situation in the past. One of his critiques was that the citizens of the United States of America were not well enough informed about the economy. In March of 2009, Warren Buffett said, “I think we’ve had, and it’s the nature of the political process somewhat, but we’ve had muddled messages and the American public does not know. They feel they don’t know what’s going on and their reaction then is to absolutely pull back.”
Clearly, Buffett is willing to share his expertise on finance with the Obama Administration and assist them in cleaning up the economic crisis created by former President George Bush and his administration. As the United States of America is still stuck in a recession, the urgency to fix the unfortunate problem is higher than ever. And President Barack Obama is willing to look at all of his options in order to fix the right fix for the problem.
As Obama continues to explore his options for the economic situation, the citizens of the United States of America can be certain that President Obama will not rest until a viable plan is put together and enacted in order to better the people of the United States.
