Former Disney Channel sensation and silver screen starlet Hilary Duff is now a mom. The 24 year old actress and singer gave birth to a baby boy today.
Her son, with husband Mike Comrie, is named Luca Cruz Comrie. According to a Tweet by Duff, the baby boy was born seven pounds and six ounces.
Her Tweet read, “We are overjoyed and feel like the luckiest parents in the world. He is surrounded by so much love!! Mom and baby are both doing extremely well.”
Duff has said that she was not as overwhelmed by her pregnancy as she expected and called the pregnancy “super easy.”
When the couple announced that they were expecting this past August, they were very excited about starting their family and having their first child. The two have been married since August of 2010.
Duff has essentially grown in front of the eyes of her fans. Ever since her young days starring as Lizzie McGuire on the Disney Channel, Duff has grown into a greater actress, a singer, and now a mother.
