Saturday in New York City, New York, Beyonce and husband Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, finally became known under their new names, Mommy and Daddy. Beyonce gave birth to the couples’ first child, a baby girl by the name of Blue Ivy Carter.
Fans and the media have been watching the former member of Destiny’s Child very close ever since she announced the pregnancy. Due to what Jay-Z has done in the past and Beyonce’s enormous current star power, fans have been very excited to see the power couple have their first child.
Beyonce’s sister Solange Knowles called the newborn baby girl, “the most beautiful girl in the world,” on her Twitter account. Twitter was full of congratulatory messages to Mr. and Mrs. Carter on their newborn, healthy, baby girl.
Blue Ivy Carter was born on the Upper East Side of New York City in Lenox Hill Hospital. The child was Beyonce’s first.
It is arguable that the couple of Jay-Z and Beyonce is the biggest power couple in entertainment today. The two have been together for years and have worked together in the studio as well. It is only a matter of time until all eyes are on the newborn Blue Ivy Carter and what she can do in the entertainment world.
