Bank of America Rethinks New Policy, Debit Card Fee Might Get Lowered

Rumors are circulating that executives at Bank of America are hearing the complaints and concerns of users all over the nation loud and clear.

After officially announcing that they will charge users five dollars every month for using their debit cards to buy goods and services, those with Bank of America accounts immediately made their disapproval heard. The fee was originally planned to be implemented January of 2012, just a few months from now.

There are ways for people to avoid the fees. One way is that customers who have premium accounts would not have to pay the extra five dollars.

New potential plans to help people include exempting people from the fee if they maintain certain minimum balances, use Bank of America credit cards, or have direct deposit from their work to their account.

Chase and Wells Fargo have both just announced that their plans to start the monthly fees are canceled.
