In a sad story to report, former Alice In Chains bassist Mike Starr was found dead at 1:42pm today in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Starr, who has battled a terrible heroin and drug addiction addiction for most of his adult life, appeared on Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab in 2009 and then in the follow up show, Sober House. Starr came away from the Pasadena Recovery Center and formed 6 months of sobriety, a great accomplishment given his past drug use.
Last month, Starr most likely relapsed when he was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance. He had six painkillers and six Xanax on him.
Sadly today, at age 44, Mike Starr was found dead when authorities arrived at the house Starr was in.
