Mr. Olympia Preview, Jay Cutler and Phil Heath Fight for The Sandow

The 2011 Mr. Olympia contest begins tonight with the prejudging.

Jay Cutler is entering tonight’s contest at 38 years of age. Cutler, who is past his prime, but still on top of his game, is looking to capture his fifth Sandow. However, after last year’s close and questionable finish against “The Gift” Phil Heath, many are predicting that four titles is where Cutler stops.

Heath, who was considered to be the better man and true winner last year in Las Vegas, Nevada, is hoping to win his first Sandow tonight. At 31, Heath is the youngest of the predicted top 6.

Kai Greene is the next youngest. Kai Greene has the mass to match Jay Cutler and has shown that he can present the type of conditioning that could see him blow away the competition. But if this year is anything like the last two, Greene will not be winning tonight. The last two years Greene has come in bloated and flat.

Dexter “The Blade” Jackson is still one of the best in the world, but age has finally caught up with the sharp one. Many are saying they would be surprised is Dexter cracks the top six.

Dennis Wolf, another young competitor, is finally healed from his injuries and back in the gym hitting it hard. Wolf is not expected to beat out Cutler, Heath, and Greene, but if any of the three slip, Wolf could find his place in the top 3.

Other top competitors include Ronny Rockel, Victor Martinez, and Hidetada Yamagishi.

Branch Warren is out of the contest with a leg injury. Warren was expected to place as high as third. Roelly Winklaar is also out due to complications with root canal surgery that forced him to stray from his training and eating plans.
