Tomorrow is Super Bowl XLVI. It will see the New England Patriots take on the New York Giants at the house that Peyton Manning built in Indianapolis, Indiana.

It is a rematch of Super Bowl XLII when the Giants shocked the world by defeating the undefeated Patriots, ruining their hopes for a 19-0 season.

The game is valuable in and of itself, but it has extra meaning for both coaches and both quarterbacks.

If the Patriots win, it will be the fourth title for coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady. It would solidify Belichick as one of the greatest coaches of all time and put Brady’s name in the argument for best quarterback of all time. It would also give Chad Ochocinco, one of the best wide receivers in history, his first championship ring.

If the Giants win, it would be the second title for coach Tom Coughlin and quarterback Eli Manning. It would turn Coughlin into an elite coach and Manning into an elite quarterback and as many are saying, a definite hall of famer.

It would also create a new dynasty in the Giants.

The implications of this game are high. In 24 hours, everyone in America will be watching close to see who earns the right to be called Super Bowl Champion.

Ringo Starr was recently interviewed by CNN. The main topic of discussion was his upcoming solo album.

From his early beginnings as the drummer for the legendary band, The Beatles, Ringo Starr has been entertaining fans for nearly 50 years.

Starr, who is 71 years old, talked about how it was much easier to be famous when The Beatles were on top. He says that the media was much more low key and the band members could go out a lot more freely than the celebrities of today.

Starr also discussed his long lasting friendship with the only other living Beatle, Paul McCartney. Starr did speak of how much he misses Lennon and Harrison. But he also shot down the rumors that he was going to join McCartney for a Beatles reunion at the 2012 London Olympics. He said it is possible that he and McCartney can play again together one day, but he said it could never be a reunion of The Beatles with only two.

Ringo is releasing his latest album “Ringo 2012.” It is his 17^th solo album. Ringo told CNN that his love for music and everything it entails keeps him going to this day.

Leslie Carter, the sister of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and singer and actor Aaron Carter, has passed away. She was only 25 years of age.

It is now being reported that many close to the situation think that prescription drugs led to an overdose for the young woman. She was found dead in upstate New York yesterday and medics called to help were not able to bring her back.

Leslie Carter is said to have been dealing with prescription drug addiction for a while now. She is said to have moved from Canada to New York so she could have the assistance of her family in getting over her addiction.

She was left alone for no more than an hour while family members ran errands. When they returned she was already passed out.

The house is said to have been empty of pills, but it is suspected that Leslie was able to secure drugs without the knowledge of her family.

Her brother Nick Carter has dedicated the remainder of his tour to his sister. Aaron Carter has left his off-Broadway production temporarily to be with his family during this time, but will return to the stage soon.

Toxicology and autopsy reports are currently not in.

Today, Facebook has officially filed for its initial public offering (IPO). Facebook is looking to bring in $5 billion for the IPO.

At the end of 2011, Facebook reported $3.7 billion in revenue.

Facebook, with its 845 active users, has been profitable for a few years now. Users have been predicting the IPO of the Internet company since 2009.

Facebook is expected to trade under the symbol “FB,” as the two letters are often the abbreviation that users use when referring to the site.

The initial paperwork does not say on which market the new stock will be traded on. Currently it is not known how many shares Facebook will offer or how much each share would cost users.

Experts are expecting the new Facebook stock to go for $29.73 a share.

The official number will not be out for a few months though.

Regardless, this is arguably the most highly anticipated IPO of any company in years. Time will tell what this does for Facebook as a business and as a product.

While he was serving his prison term at Rikers Island, Lil Wayne had an album released by Young Money Cash Money Records. That album was I Am Not A Human Being.

The album was a silent hit. Without Wayne around to promote the album, it had to rely completely on fans discovering it on their own. And fans did. The album sold just under one million copies.

But now Weezy F Baby is reportedly about to drop the second album in the franchise, properly titled I Am Not A Human Being 2.

The release was announced by the co-founder of Cash Money Records, Birdman. Birdman said, “Wayne’s got an album he’s about to drop real soon. It’s called I Am Not A Human Being 2. It’s gonna be before the summer for sure. We haven’t picked the date yet. Whenever he’s ready to drop his album, we’re gonna make it do what it do. He’s definitely got an album done and ready to go.”

Birdman also announced that the Like Father, Like Son 2 album is going to drop near the end of the year. Birdman wants his solo album and Wayne’s solo album to be out first and for promotion to finish on those before the new collaboration album is out.

Today, Sid the Kid returned to the ice. However, he was not back to play in a game or even to practice. Sidney Crosby simply went back on the ice to just skate around.

Crosby has been suffering from concussion like symptoms for over a year now.

Crosby skipped out on attending the All Star festivities and opted to go to Los Angeles to see a neurological and spine specialist. The same doctor, Dr. Robert Bray, reported that Crosby not only had a concussion, but also an undiagnosed neck injury in January of 2011, when his first problems began.

Crosby returned to the ice for a short time this year. He was immediately back on his game and averaged over one point per game during his short season before another collision caused his symptoms to return.

Many within the Pittsburgh Penguins are hoping that Crosby will come back before the end of the season. Right now the Penguins are one of the top teams in the league, but the return of arguably the best player in the world since Wayne Gretzky would not be something any team would ever pass on.

Aldon Smith, the linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers, had one of the most impressive rookie seasons in recent history this year. He was a major reason why the 49ers won their first NFC West Championship title in a decade and came within reach of making it to the Super Bowl, losing to the New York Giants in the NFC Conference Championship game in overtime last week.

Smith racked up an amazing 14 sacks. He is also in the running for the Rookie of the Year award.

But early this morning, Smith was pulled over by Miami Beach police. At 9:32 EST, Smith was taken into custody for DUI. He was officially arrested and charged with the crime.

His bond was placed at $1,000.

The Missouri alum is only 22 years of age. As of press time, no statement has been issued by Smith or the 49ers.

It is sure that there is much disappointment about the situation. Smith has been a star player who has displayed great maturity on the field, in practice, in the locker room, and in every aspect of his young career.

It is uncertain if the 49ers will seek to punish Smith in any way or if they will decide that being arrested and charged is enough punishment for the outstanding athlete.

It has been widely reported the last few days that actress Demi Moore was taken to the hospital from what many claimed to be substance abuse. Now it is being said that she was abusing nitrous oxide in the form of whip-its.

Whip-it abuse comes from the inhalation of nitrous oxide gas directly from aerosol cans. This is not the first time that this issue has come up with a celebrity as Whip-it abuse was the debilitating addiction that former Jackass star Steve-O was dealing with.

According to TMZ’s sources, Moore was in a seizure like state after she inhaled the Whip-its.

Many close to Moore have noticed a change in her personality over the last few months as she has split from husband Ashton Kutcher. According to reports, she has not been eating much and has not been sleeping.

Reports are surfacing that Kutcher wanted Moore to break her addiction to prescription drugs, but she would not. This is likely to be a big reason why the couple ended up splitting in November. The split was also partially caused by rumors of infidelity by Kutcher.

With the divorce and the problems with drug abuse, it seems that Demi Moore’s life is spiraling out of control.

In the fourth financial quarter of 2011, Verizon Wireless sold a reported 4.2 million Apple iPhone’s. The total was a record for iPhone sales for Verizon since they first began selling the widely popular Apple product.

However, Verizon had to subsidize the production of the phone in order to put more on the market. This led to the profits from the sales dropping significantly.

Verizon executives are contesting that there is no problem with how they did business. Officials say that this is simply how phone companies do business with Apple in order to get more of their products. It was reported months ago that Sprint does not even project to profit from iPhone sales at all until 2015.

It is expected that Verizon will quickly begin to profit again as upgrades to the 4G network are projected.

In other news, it is speculated that Verizon prices are about to rise now that AT&T prices have. Verizon officials would not say if prices would rise for sure, but did comment that it is likely that new package deals would be available to benefit both Verizon and their customers. Also, it is expected that the cost of phones will go up, but that service plans may not.

It was not that long ago that rapper Lil Wayne was in the middle of an 8 month stint at Rikers Island in New York. Now, Weezy F Baby is set to release a memoir written about his time in jail.

The memoir will be titled “Gone Till November.” It is based on the journals Lil Tunechi kept while serving his time at Rikers. It will be released late this year, in November. The release will mark the two year anniversary of Wayne’s release from prison, which was November 4^th, 2010.

Since leaving jail, Wayne has released the successful Sorry 4 The Wait mixtape, and the highly anticipated Tha Carter IV, which has sold over 2 million copies.

In other Lil Wayne news, the rapper apparently got into a scuffle with Dallas Cowboy Wide Receiver Dez Bryant outside a hotel in Miami Beach.

Wayne’s crew was allegedly poking fun at Bryant for poorly using his money, as the football star is reportedly about $650,000 in debt. He owes $50,000 to Endurance Capital Fund and $600,000 to a jeweler in Dallas.

Apparently the fight was not so bad as no one was arrested and no charges have been filed. There is no report of any major brawling going on, as no one has reported any contact between Bryant and Weezy.
